LostMachine Design works with artists, designers and organizations to turn ambitious ideas into sculpture, functional art, architectural features and large-scale installations. From concept development and 3D modeling through fabrication, logistics and installation.

LostMachine works at the intersection of art, design, engineering and fabrication. A project may arrive as a finished 3D model, a rendering, a difficult technical problem, or an idea that still needs to become an object.
The role changes with the project. The objective does not: understand the intent, understand the material and process, and develop a practical path from concept to finished work.
Fabrication for artists and studios with clear respect for authorship and design intent.
Developing ideas, sketches and design briefs into resolved physical work.
3D CAD, mechanical design, prototyping, kinetic systems and design for fabrication and assembly.
Custom fabrication, project management, logistics and installation.

LostMachine combines an engineering background with hands-on fabrication experience. Machining, welding, digital fabrication, mechanical systems, lighting, controls and mixed materials can be developed together rather than handed from one discipline to another.
ABOUT ANDYLostMachine works with artists, designers, studios and organizations on unusual physical projects at nearly any scale.
